The last weekend (06.-08. Aug.) we have been in La Pobla de Segur, España, for the Spanish Championship which was also an open aerobatic FAI competition (besides 20 spanish pilots there have been 10 Pilots from other nations like Iran, Argentina, Bulgaria, Austria and Germany). The competition was held over a beautiful lake surrounded by some little mountains. With towing behind a boat we got up about 600 meters over the lake that means we did four tricks for the Solo and three for the Synchro tasks.
The towing for the Synchro tasks was probably the most exciting - 2 Pilots behind 1 boat connected to 1 rope which was split up in the end. In the beginning we was not sure if this kind of towing will work properly but after the first task we realized that this is a very effective way of towing for a Synchro task.
After I did one mistake in my first Solo run I still could manage to rise up to the 8th place after two more runs. Also François Ragolski and Felix Rodriguez had to handle a quiet similar situation. On the Podium was nobody else then Horacio Llorens (1st), Raul Rodriguez (2nd) and Hernan Pitocco (3rd) followed by Sebastian Kahn (4th) and Ricky Kahn (5th). In Synchro I flew with a good friend of mine, Sebastian Kahn from Austria (also on a SOL Super Sonic). It was our first Synchro competition together and finally we finished on the 4th place.
All in all it was a very nice weekend with all of the spanish and other international guys and also without being on the podium I am very happy about the experiences I have collected during this competition.

So let’s fly two weeks more here in Organya, España, before we ll go in direction Austria for the most important competition this year - Acroaustria (SOLO & SYNCHRO Worldcup)

...back in Organya (ESP) Veso and me are preparing for the upcoming competition in La Pobla de Segur (Revoluttion - Spanish Championship) together with team Austria and Spain.
On the way back to Austria - Acroaustria at Gerlitzen in the end of August - we are planning to pass Chamonix (F) and Mürren (CH) for some photo shootings together with Stefan and Lugano (CH) for the Synchro Worldcup at Monte Generoso.
